Pancakes
It was snowing on my way back home and I had the Chris Rea song "Driving Home For Christmas" in my head. I suddenly craved for pancakes although I rarely eat them. Back home I looked up some recipes and decided to make my own:
- 1 egg
- 4 tablespoons of flour
- 3 tablespoons of water (I was tempted by using beer, but decided against it)
- 1 teaspoon of Tagatesse (a kind of artificial sweetener)
I broke the egg in a small bowl, added the flour and the sweetener and mixed them (just using a fork). Then I added the water and mixed again.
Then I heated a small pan and baked them. I used some cherry jam as a spread, delicious!
I managed to get 4 small pancakes out of this. Next time I think I'll used a bit more flour and water (or milk, or beer, or ...).
Since I baked and ate them at the same time, the first one was hardly baked and the last one was nearly black. But practise makes perfect....
